On New Year’s day Patrick Kane saw one of the young kid’s skate out onto the ice when the announcement of the Olympic team was going on. He noticed that one young girl was wearing his USA Hockey Jersey. At that moment he ran to Brandon Faber the Blackhawks PR man and let him know about finding this young girl and getting the Jersey signed.

“I was trying to make the situation for her and her family even better than it already was,” Kane said. “It might help the reputation, but I wasn’t thinking about that when I went up to Brandon.”

“I think it was really cool,” Kane, only 21, said. “It really makes you feel good. It seems like she was pretty excited in her letter that we were able to get it done. I thought it was a real easy gesture that I could pull off for the girl, just sign the jersey for her and do the right thing.”

In my opinion it seem that he was just trying to do something great for a young hockey fan. If only more of the pro. NHL players, and any other sport, would do this more often then they might get a little more from the fans. I understand that many of the professional sports players give a lot, but sometimes its the small things that might get them noticed even more.

You asked for it you got it. The 2009 NHl Playoff Schedule is up and we are ready for some hockey. The teams have played their hearts out all season long and now it is all or go home. Check out when your favorite NHL team is playing and watch the madness. First we have a list of how the top 16 teams did with the wins, losses, and ties.

Capitals (50-24-8) vs Rangers (43-30-9)
Devils (51-27-4) vs Hurricanes (45-30-7)
Penguins (45-28-9) vs Flyers (44-27-11)
Bruins (53-19-10) vs Canadiens (41-30-11)
Red Wings (51-21-10) vs Blue Jackets (41-31-10)
Canucks (45-27-10) vs Blues (41-31-10)
Blackhawks (46-24-12) vs Flames (46-30-6)
Sharks (53-18-11) vs Ducks (42-33-7)

Now you can see how each team did against each other in the regular season.

Regular Season Matchup : Sharks 4-2 Ducks
Regular Season Matchup : Blackhawks 4-0 Flames
Regular Season Matchup : Canucks 2-2 Blues
Regular Season Matchup : Penguins 4-2 Flyers
Regular Season Matchup : Devils 1-3 Hurricanes
